How we work

How we make money. One roofing contractor per ZIP code pays us a fee when we refer a homeowner to them. That is our only revenue from referrals — we are not paid more if you spend more, and contractors cannot pay for better placement in our articles.

What happens to your details. They go to exactly one contractor: the one who serves your ZIP. We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to a second contractor if the first does not call. If we have no partner in your area, we do not collect your phone number at all — we offer you the permit report instead.

Where our numbers come from. County permit filings and published city fee schedules. Every figure carries its source and verification date. When a city publishes declared values on too few permits to be meaningful, we show no cost range rather than computing one from a handful of filings.

What we will not do. We do not run countdown timers, fake scarcity, or exit popups. We do not display review badges we have not earned or testimonials we cannot attribute.
